For the last several days – between the madness of the Thanksgiving holiday – I managed to get 2500 to 3250 words per day completed. This push towards completion has lead to NaNoWriMo success as I clocked in at 50,141 words (according to the NaNoWriMo verifier as Open Office says 50, 348). Considering I was 11 days behind about 2 weeks ago, I shocked and overly happy to be done a day early. Of course, I am not done with the story. Only about half done. I plan to continue work on the piece – daily, hopefully – until it is completed. Tomorrow there is a write-in as the final push for NaNoWriMo which I still plan to attend to continue writing. This year’s NaNo piece has been re-named Reaper’s Moon. Still not sure I like the title but it is more suiting than ‘Silver in Darkness’ I think. 🙂 Today I wrote 3,013 words and the brain is feeling rather slushy in addition to elation so I will be keeping this post short and sweet.
My first NaNoWriMo Win! WooHoo!
