New Poetry Wednesday: Wish

Wish

I stand at this moment
Over and over again I stand
Here at this very moment
Still unchanging even if I beg
Beg on bending knees for freedom
Stuck upon this precipice
Of treasonous reason
When rain flows
It washes away not
That which lies underfoot
Wish to see night
Wish to see light
See anything but this blind eye
Only held in downy hollers
As I suffocate but not a thing
A thing changes in the sorrows
Expressed into spreadable air
Intoxicated with this, this meaning
Of treasonous reason
