New Poetry Wednesday: Dry Sea

Dry Sea

Angry Autumn
As it refuses to let go
Let go of the Summer’s dredges
Left alone to labor through days
Wounded and hemorrhaging
Just keep the head above dry seas
Break the knees to swim
To shores too far
For Autumn is violent
Clinging too long to Summer
And its toxic pains
Release, release into the seasons
Let the pains slide
Under the monsoon seas
