NaNoWriMo – Week One

As it comes to the end of week one of NaNoWriMo, I find myself with a word count of 3,334 which I arrived at on Friday evening during a write-in.

While somewhat distressing, it is understandable. All week I felt like I was coming down with a cold and it came to full force by Friday morning. I spent most of Saturday sleeping off my cold.

On Sunday, the pall of death had come to rest on my house as Anubis, Atum, Neferet and I were forced said good-bye to Ma’at. Fortunately, death came for her quickly.

I’m been battling with next to no creativity this past week. Now illness and grief are making it worse. There are times when these aspects of living life inspire creativity but they are making me feel detached from myself and my life.

Challenging to work in such a state. At some point they will inspire art, just not right now.

Still one must forge ahead.
