The day started off with 73 words/1 poem at midnight. While I had hoped for a longer poetry piece and another piece or two before calling it a night, I was pleased with the start. The first piece is, oddly, called ‘November’s Ghost’. Maybe it is a sign. Today featured a write-in at my local library. I had forgotten how horribly uncomfortable those chairs are. Between the chairs and the stress of my car deciding to throw a hissy fit, I left the write-in an hour early.
As I was leaving for the write-in, the car shook violently for 2 minutes after I turned it on then the check engine light came on. I took it over to the auto parts place near the library to have the codes checked. Something is going on with the spark plugs. Not a huge surprise since the car had work done on Sunday and the mechanic said they needed to be replaced in the near future. Irony, pure and simple. I thought/hoped the near future was a little further down the road since eight car tires were bought in less than a month between two vehicles.
Writing work has averaged to 106 words per poem which made for a very long writing day that I’m about to bid adieu to. Ink & Ice has racked up eight new pieces, Unlined & Undertakers has four, and Danse Obscura has its first piece even though I promised myself that I would not work on Danse Obscura during this NaNoWriMo.
Tomorrow promises to have 5+ hours of writing goodness, and I am hoping for longer poems to come from it.
