New Poetry Wednesday – Valley

Valley

Walked the valley
Deserted years ago
Slid down the hills
To rest inside
No escape in sight
Wings to warm my bed
Winds fussing the feathers
Sunlight eclipses me
Walked the valley
Only to find scattered
Bones and flowers
Dust on my hands
Bodies long past
