Writing Month #1 Comes to An End

My great experiment of spending every other month in a primary writing state of mind went okay for its first month in action. I often found myself distracted so I did not write as intended – 1 poem a day – but made up the count on other days. I had hoped to make further progress on Obiter & Oleander and Kirsch & Kerosene.

Ended up writing 25 pieces for Obiter & Oleander and 22 pieces for Kirsch & Kerosene. Their current overall poetry piece counts sit at 27 each. I also put down 2 pieces for a new project that has been rolling around in my head for the last few months. This project is tentatively titled as Cleanse. Do not need another writing project but it is what it is. 🙂

49 pieces in 28 days is pretty good. Not NaNoWriMo good but still an admirable accomplishment.

The overall poetry count – all pieces written since 1994 – is at 1208. Being that the 1000th poetry piece was written on October 25, 2012, I think it is amazing to be at 1208.

April is Writing Month #2. It is also Camp NaNoWriMo (since they did away with Script Frenzy) and NaPoWriMo. I hope to be vastly more productive in my daily writing come April.

Of course, I will continue to write in March but my primary focus will be on cleaning out and organizing the sewing/guinea pigs’ room and the kitchen along with finishing up the last little bits of rooms I’ve previously decluttered. They all are housing items that need to have a home somewhere else.

Always busy with one thing or another. I would prefer just to be busy with the writing but, for right now, no such luck. Soon though, very soon…
