It seems that a pattern is playing out and is impossible to ignore. On Days 1 & 2, I wrote two poems just after midnight. On Day 3, I went to sleep two hours before midnight then I struggled to write all day. On Day 4, I am awake at midnight and two poems are written. It would seem that the prime writing time this month is between midnight and 1am. I must remember this for the days to come. I was sipping Cold Brewed Lemon Zinger tea during those writing times as well so I should keep the pantry and fridge stocked up. Why mess with success?
As I attempted to fall asleep around 3am, I kept contemplating what to do with my various blogs. I’ve been toying with the idea of consolidating them into one which will make it – hopefully – easier for me to remember to post and the like. This idea keeps looking better and better. My contemplations circled around the concept of different days for different topics. The plan will be more solid once I get a calendar going so I can visualize it. I will probably implement such in May unless an attack of life or writing happens.
Oh, how I hate working on Table of Contents for poetry books. I hate them under normal circumstances but I have developed a fondness for normal circumstances. Rebuilding a Table of Contents after file corruption is a far deeper horror. I kept finding improper page breaks and formatting as I rebuilt which meant I had to keep redoing sections I thought I had already repaired. The Seasons of Self: Autumn & Winter file was still highly temperamental about being modified into the publishing file. I finally finished – thankfully – and submitted the file for publishing without further issues.
Writing later in the day was sparse due to the amount of time it took to work on Seasons of Self: Autumn & Winter in addition to other tasks I had to do. Nevertheless, I reached my minimal writing goal for the day so I cannot complain.
