NaPoWriMo 2013 – Day 23

Malnourished

Malnourished soul
I harbor within
Working to cleanse
And nourish
Stumble back and forth
Picked myself up
Clutching nutrients
In my withered palms
Singing healing psalms
Malnourished soul
I harbor within
Drink deep of the real
I forged and built
Be warm, comfortable
Nourished for years
By letting go
Of the past
Break down barricades
Built over years
Made of weight, clutter
Pulling down to muck
Malnourished soul
I harbor within
Feast for health
Within and surround
