New Poetry Wednesday – Wanderer

Wanderer

as I wander between pages
coffee stained and plain
I find secrets to pick up
twist them together like laurel leaves
adorn my bowed head
goddess of paper-slandered Shadowlands
push people away from the margins
as I wander between pages
long turned to pulp
under watery fingertips
I find lies to collect
twist them together until truth
discovered in the corners of Shadowlands
darken to greys as I wander
wander between pages bound
together with warped twine
