Poetry Wednesday: Wood Gods

Wood Gods

Threw money to wooden godsxeniumcover
Hoped to see all the colors
Between trees without
Being swallowed by unseen
Creatures lurking leaves
Sun left over to the east
Broke down near demons
Clearing through blackened grass
Threw money to wooden gods
Hoped to see all the colors
Over too soon promises denied
Marathon of binds reach out
Unwind around stones
Linger in the mouth
