New Poetry Wednesday – Repeating History

Repeating History

Cut the lines to your medication
Parted ways once saying goodbye
Found ourselves hand in hand
By cruelest time torture
As the lines unraveled
Needed more than yourself
Protection from history repeating
Claim two heads were better
Even in pieces on the roadside
Cut the lines to your medication
Parted ways once saying goodbye
Found ourselves hand in hand
By cruelest time torture
As the lines unraveled
Need to let these repetitions
Parish like words meaningless
In goodbye as last time
