Water

Tiny things get in the way
Discolor our days untrue
Push us six feet under
Water we swore wasn’t there
Yesterday when we went astray
Tiny things get in the way
Discolor our days untrue
Flail in feeble attempts
Freedom a fickle mistress
Just like our yesterdays
Tiny things get in the way
