Poetry Wednesday – Old Soul

Old Soul

Old soul crossroads
Where I have been
Waiting seems forever
Blink of an eye
Stagnant, hope for change
Of self-inflicted intention
Old soul crossroads
Where I have been
Waiting seems forever
Once mapped out and over
This life continuation
In spite of round peg
Forced into a square
Brought more discontent than
Anticipated yet maps faded
Severed the self-inflicted intention
Bringing me to this place
Old soul crossroads
Where I have been
Waiting seems forever
