Poetry Book Wednesday – Vervain & Vice

This week’s Poetry Book Wednesday feature is Vervain & Vice which was published on August 11, 2015. It is the seventeenth book I published. The writing process of Vervain & Vice happened during a time of transition and immense stress for me which prolonged the time it took to create as well as encouraged a sense of twisted creativity that resulted in very beautiful poetry.

Vervain & Vice is available through Amazon. Kindle – $2.99 and Paperback – $9.99. The other 19 of my currently published poetry books and numerous chapbooks can also be found on Amazon.

Poetry Wednesday – Tinsel

Tinsel

Angels without wings
You are so determined
Make them whole
With tinsel and garland
Leaving them tangled
Worse off than before
Still you collect wishes
With tinsel and garland
Angels without wings

Poetry Wednesday – Fangs

Fangs

When days close down
And become a new light
I feel heavy under weight
Fangs brutal in my flesh
Pull me down into myself
A new cement block
Within the confines never
See true boundaries of
Restless in the repose
Falling star battles for false
Sense of superiority left blind
When days close down
And become a new light
I feel heavy under weight
Fangs brutal in my flesh

Poetry Wednesday – Tragic Magic

Tragic Magic

Tragic magic falling
In reverse disaster
Turn melodies into Queens
Forgotten to their maladies
Tragic magic falling
In a hole ten miles
Wider than it dug
Impossible impostors
Next to the guard towers
Tragic magic falling
In reverse disaster
Turn maladies into Queens
Forgotten to their melodies

Poetry Wednesday – Empty Houses

Empty Houses

All alone in houses empty
Makes it easier to see
World for what it
Became detached
A victim without a gun
Does not feel the same
Diluted see through runs
Down the lines barely held
All alone in houses empty
Makes it easier to know
What sage removes smoking
Cleanse waves detached
A victim with a gun
To hold when wicked comes

Poetry Wednesday – Molasses

Molasses

Flay power considered to exist
Soothe it in competition play
Wait in vain for it to come around
Once more through destructive means
Take it slower like molasses
Cover the cuts shallow rightly placed
Aces pile up in precious car crash
Ease the strains stalking blood
Aflame on freeze warnings
Flay power considered to exist
Soothe it in competition play
Wait in vain for annihilation
Come around once more
Means absolute molasses
Destructive and ever so sweet
Emergent with grace to
Save power’s worldly face

NaPoWriMo 2015 – Day 9

Patientia

Turn out the circle
Dust of founding fathers
Secret flesh and blood
Following all around
Turn out the circle
Hope for more than before
Brought the dust in pile
Endings mounting without
Stories to claim infinite
Like patience I try
To hold fast to around
Turn out the circle
Dust of founding fathers
Watching their patience
Mean for naught in
Secret flesh and blood
Following all around
